Pin Fish Standards as at July 1st 2018

Marlin:

Silver pin will be awarded for the first Marlin for the season, tagged or weighed 90Kg minimum weight applies, MSFC Boundary’s only

Silver pin will be awarded to any Junior members 1st Marlin, tagged or weighed 90kg minimum weight. Open waters apply

Silver pin will be awarded to any Senior members 1st Marlin, tagged or weighed 90Kg minimum weight. Open waters apply

Silver pin will be award to any junior member, catching a marlin over 110kg weight. open waters apply

Silver pin will be awarded to any senior member, catching a marlin over 130kg in weight. open waters apply

Gold pin will be awarded to any Junior or Senior member weighing a Marlin 150Kg or heavier. Open waters apply

Broadbill:

Silver pin will be awarded for the first Broadbill for the season, tagged or weighed. Open waters apply

Silver pin will be awarded to any Junior weighing or tagging a Broadbill regardless of weight. Open waters apply

Silver pin will be awarded to any Senior members 1st Broadbill, tagged or weighed. No minimum weight, but must exceed line weight. Open waters apply

Gold pin will be awarded to any Junior or Senior weighing a Broadbill 200Kg or heavier. Open waters apply

Tuna:

Silver pin will be awarded to any junior members 1st yellow fin, tagged or weighed 24kg minimum weight. open waters apply

Silver pin will be awarded to any senior members 1st yellow fin, tagged or weighed 37kg minimum weight. open waters apply

Gold pin will be awarded to any Junior or Senior weighing a fish 50kg or heavier, regardless of species. Open waters apply

Mahimahi:

Silver pin will be awarded to any Junior or Senior weighing a fish 4kg or heavier. Open waters apply

Wreckfish:

Bass:

Silver pin will be awared to any junior member, for weighing a Bass 24kg or heavier. open waters apply

Silver pin will be awared to any senior member, for weighing a Bass 37kg or heavier. open waters apply

Bluenose:

Silver pin will be awarded to any junior member, for weighing a Bluenose 15kg or heavier. open waters apply

Siver pin will be awarded to any senior member, for weighing a Bluenose 24kg or heavier. open water apply

Hapuka:

Silver pin will be awarded to any junior member, for weighing a Hapuka 20kg or heavier. open water apply

Silver pin will be awarded to any senior member, for weighing a Hapuka 28kg or heavier. open waters apply

Snapper:

Gold pin will be awarded to any Junior or Senior weighing a fish 9.1Kg or heavier. Open waters apply

Silver pin will be awarded to any Junior weighing a fish 7.0Kg or heavier. Open waters apply

Trevally:

Silver pin will be awarded to any Junior or Senior weighing a fish 3Kg or heavier. MSFC Boundary’s only

Kahawai:

Silver pin will be awarded to any Junior or Senior weighing a fish 3Kg or heavier. MSFC Boundary’s only

Kingfish:

Silver pin will be awarded to any Junior or Senior weighing a fish 15Kg or heavier. MSFC Boundary’s only

Silver pin will be awarded to any Junior or Senior weighing a fish 25Kg or heavier. Open waters apply

Length/Weight for Pin fish Requirements: (Season 2025/2026)

Snapper:

Gold pin will be awarded to any Junior or Senior measuring a snapper 80cm long or greater. Open waters apply

Kingfish:

Silver pin will be awarded to any Junior or Senior measuring a kingfish 125cm long or greater. Open waters apply

Other:

The committee may at their discretion award a pin for any fish deemed worthy
